In all, the Manistee resident pocketed $9,909.98 for the score. The casino also released a screenshot of stacked $100 bills from Snapchat with the caption: “This is what 10k looks like.”
Little River opened the River Rock Sportsbook and Grill on July 17, one of the state’s first tribal casinos to do so.
The UFC 252 card, headlined by heavyweight Stipe Miocic winning a unanimous decision over Daniel Cormier, was one of the first major sporting events since the sportsbook opened this summer.
Gilbert chose both prelim and main card fights to fulfill his parlay.
NFL football is the big score for sportsbooks, and the Michigan gambling industry is rushing to get in on the action.
River Rock was the first sportsbook to open in the northern Michigan region. Though, Island Resort & Casinoannounced it will open a sportsbook in Harris on Sept. 10, the same day as NFL kickoff. Near Escanaba, that BetAmerica Sportsbook could be the Upper Peninsula’s first to go live.
